Our First All Grain Homebrew
14 lbs of grain for a Pilsner
Homemade Mash tun
It worked GREAT!
Monitoring the Temp for 30 minute periods in 5 degrees temp ranges
isn't as hard as you would think.
The all grain added about 3 hours of time to the overall work and used about 5 extra gallons of water, 10 gallons yield about 6 gallons of beer. gravity came out to 1.064 about normal for pilsner so we must have done something right. I guess we'll know for sure in 6 weeks..
